Package arrived on time. Contents were packaged for safe travel. They even sent me two for the price of one. The main problem is the product was out of date by two months when it arrived. This would be O.K. except this is Medical Glue not glue for every day use. Guess it will be good to help fill up the trash can. Rating: 1 / 5

I answered a related question recentlly on industrial microbiology. Here’s that question as well as the best reference–an entire book chapter. Although they don’t focus on companies, and list a lot of methods, not just biotech, that should give you topics to do searches:

A good general example would be diagnostics companies that use immunoassays, or companies that supply research reagents. They would use biotechnology to generate antibodies and the proteins that they use in their standards. Examples of such companies are Abbot, RnD Systems, Randox Laboratories, BioRad, MedMira

A simple differentiation: GENOMICS is the study of genes; how they interact and work together (or against each other). PROTEOMICS is the study of gene products, i.e., polypeptides and proteins.
